Nathan Hoover > May 17, 2008: First try at a geared 36" cycle. Here it is ready for it's first ride (photos). In the end, we learned that modifying 40mm Nimbus bearing holders by hand to fit 42mm bearings is a really bad idea. It destroys the bearings prematurely. These bearings lasted only about 300 miles. DON'T do what we did in the following photos!
