Nathan Hoover > Brake mounts and foot rests
Nathan Hoover > My favorite pedal, the Azonic A-Frame Lite. Expensive but perfect for unicycling. July 17, 2005.

Update June 2007: The bearings blew out in these pedals after about a year (or 10 months) of riding. Disappointing. Luckily, I finally got new bearings from Dave Stockton and installed them before the 100 mile ride at Lake Tahoe. They worked great for that ride! I am SO psyched to be back using these pedals. Didn't realize how much I was missing with the others I had been running since these blew out.

Update August 2007: Man am I glad I replaced those bearings. Since then they've worked perfectly for about 1000 hard miles. They have been slammed onto rocks, ridden in 5 countries, and just won't die. They are the best.

Update August 2008: THEY ARE STILL GOING STRONG after over a year and thousands of km. Awesome.

Update October 2008: After taking off and putting on so many dozens of times, one of these pedals is now really hard to screw in. Never had that happen before, but this pair was used SO many times.

January 2009. I stuck these on my KH29 which doesn't have its pedals changed much. It was hard to screw in the right pedal, but man it is a nice light cycle. I guess you could call this an "active retirement" for these awesome pedals".

Nathan Hoover > Monty wheel on United frame
Nathan Hoover > April 2003, Beau's Yuni 20 Muni. The seatpost is a lot longer than when it was new, 2 years earlier. He got SO much use out of this cycle but eventually had to upgrade to a 24".
Nathan Hoover > Beau's newly colored Yuni 24 with brake, Dec 2004. This lasted until he got to about 110 pounds and had to switch to a splined setup. At the end, he was bending a pair of cranks on every ride.
